A major retailer wanted to explore a new way to promote its meat products and help customers make more informed purchasing decisions. The idea was to create a virtual cooking assistant that would educate shoppers about different cuts of meat, recommend recipes, and make meal planning easier. The experience needed to work across mobile phones, tablets, and voice-enabled devices, while also fitting naturally into the retailer's existing grocery e-commerce experience. The client needed a strategic partner to turn this concept into a realistic, interactive demonstration.
We worked with the client to develop the product concept, define its functionality, and design the user experience from the ground up. Our team planned how customers would interact with the virtual chef, from learning about meat cuts to discovering recipes based on their preferences and shopping choices. We designed interfaces for multiple devices, considering both visual and voice-based interactions. We also created an interactive prototype demonstrating how the application could connect with the retailer's online grocery store and support product discovery and purchasing.
This project combined product strategy, UX/UI design, and interactive prototyping to bring a new retail concept to life: • Product strategy and consulting to define the app's purpose and functionality. • User experience planning and information architecture. • Custom UX/UI design for mobile and tablet devices. • Voice interaction concepts for hands-free cooking assistance. • Educational content flows explaining different cuts of meat. • Recipe discovery experience based on selected meat products. • E-commerce integration concepts connecting recipes with grocery shopping. • Interactive prototype demonstrating the complete customer experience.
The result was a fully designed concept and interactive prototype that demonstrated how a virtual cooking assistant could enhance the grocery shopping experience. The application showed how customers could explore meat products, learn how to prepare them, and discover recipes that matched their interests. By connecting educational content with product recommendations, the concept offered the retailer a new way to engage shoppers and encourage purchases. The prototype provided a tangible demonstration of the idea, giving stakeholders a foundation for evaluating the experience and planning potential future development.
